OST Participated the 11th Asian Regional Conference of IAEG [ARC-11]

OST delegation has participated the 11th Asian Regional Conference of IAEG (ARC-11) in Kathmandu, Nepal, from November 25th-30th.
IAEG (short for International Association of Engineering Geology), who belongs to the International Union of Geological Sciences, is the authority in the field of engineering geology.  Its purpose is to collect and evaluate the experience in engineering geological activities from all over the world in order to promote the development of engineering geology and environmental research.

The theme of the conference is: engineering geology of landslides, geo-hazards in Asia, engineering geology in sustainable development and urban planning, tunneling and related geo-disaster management, case studies for geo-hazard management, and engineering geology of mines and quarry sites etc.

Our engineer from Malaysia branch delivered a speech titled Rock Fall Run Out Analysis: Batu Caves, Selangor, Malaysia, and shared his knowledge and experience in rockfall analysis.

World-famous experts have made reports related to the conference theme. They discussed the frontier areas of international Geosciences, such as engineering geology and environmental issues. Experts and scholars have fully shared their latest research results.

Dr. Scott Burns, the president of IAEG, was so impressed with OST’s excellent work and encouraged us for a further and deeper development in the field of slope protection engineering. OST will continue to adhere to excellent products and service and to promote flexible protection industry in the future.
